A popular concept the first time around, “Discoveries II, Affordable Art for Aspiring Collectors” will be offered at The Parker Gallery, opening December 8,
2006. Just in time for holiday shopping, an excellent array of established artists presents artwork at affordable prices in an attempt to promote collecting. Different styles, subject matter and media are presented by the experienced gallery staff, in a
manner designed to provoke an understanding and love for art.

Exhibitors include local artists; paintings by Val Lewton, drawings from Sidney Lawrence, abstracted
photographs by Michael Smallwood, realist etchings done by Charles Ritchie, impressionist paintings by
Shelley Wischhusen, and abstract collagraphs by Karen Hubacher. With as many as 16 fine artists
exhibiting, this is a great show for new collectors to see a wide variety of techniques, styles, and
Mediums in one place. All have committed to prices less than $1,500, with some art offered at less than $500. It’s also a chance for established collectors
to find that missing gem for an existing collection. New or established, young or old, contemporary or traditional, this is a fantastic exhibit for art
Enthusiasts in the metro area..
