Expertise developed through decades of experience and knowledge of archival treatments, as well as conservation and restoration of works of art and frames set Mickelson's above the rest. Mickelson's also offers check-ups or tune-ups of your treasures. You can bring your works to us for diagnosis, cleaning and refitting or we can come to your home to assess your pieces. We check for open joints in frames, fogging inside glass, insects or other debris, torn dust covers, hangers/hanging wire adequate, evidence of moisture, general cleaning and refitting, oil painting cleaning and varnishing. We also provide material upgrades; new ultra-violet conservation glass, new acid free rag matting, and frame replacement or update.
